Project: Home so sweet Home E.1

Wow! I really didn't realize that It has been that long since I posted here!

Yes I was Planning For a November wedding  but we had to delay it for many reasons… well I hate being grumpy so I will Jump to the happy part .. ^_^

The Season of Joy has blessed me with a gift which is Finding a nice apartment to make it OUR First HOME.. a week of hard work and non-stop decorating Ideas, we finally went with the oriental style (Damascus & Palestine flavor)  for our living room.

My Favorite corner has those beautiful Handmade Palestinian Stitches (Tatreez) Pillows, made by my Lovely Mother in-low, along with the colorful Damask mat I just LOVE IT! don't you? 

colors colors every where!

starting with the window lid  to those Persian sheets to cover the couch, the dark red with Ivory gave the room the taste that we seek and love..&  take a look at these colored ceramics Pieces on the wall those were made in Hebron (Al Khalil) my hometown in Palestine.. I had this idea in mind for so long.. Finally we got this coppery Antique lamp it just give an amazing relaxing mood.

 Happiness is meant to be shared, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ♡

Countdown...

a wedding party to plan, a dress to be made on time and a house with our personal touch  all of these GOT TO BE PERFECT! so you can imagine how stress I get these days but having Fadi with me step by step has made every thing more exiting and fun to do!

Just today I received a wedding dress design from my future sister in low and I loved it so much so Check.. Party SECRET Plan is going so well so far , I can't wait to share it with you, invitation cards are being made by the two of us they will be ready within days :)

  as for our Home I got the first painting to hang on our wall it is so beautiful especially that it was made by my Fedi filled with colors happiness and LOVE.

expressing so many feelings all mixed together and fun to share except for my Bridzilla moments...
It's all Gonna be amazing I know that for sure :)

Box-Bunny

When I got this box yesterday I expected any gift but this...

as you can see FUZZY is the perfect name for this little one..
so now my two turtles can welcome their new friend then let the race begin :)

Our Dates Book

I love Gifts! especially when I'm getting it for someone close.

Yesterday we celebrated our engagement  first anniversary, I wanted a gift to last so, while I was checking Zeina Daily Style I found a lovely Mini Notebook and there I found my Idea a hand made notebook.. a calender where we will keep our important dates and days together then I matched it with a small cactus for Fedi's office.
Fedi was At the same page he got my Red Roses for my desk with a stamp ( made specially for me!) with our engagement DATE on it.

Meet Kehla

 Meet my new pet_ a red eye turtle- with such beautiful colored lines all over and really cute small eyes like she's wearing an eye-liner so I called it (Kehla) the Arabic word for eye liner.

Another November :)

Yes, I 'm going to blog about November every year and it gets sweeter and sweeter
Starts with Fedi's - exceptional circumstances- Birthday, even though we couldn't go out to one of our special places as I planed but we had such a great day in a nice café  nearby my home and a lovely, fun night at home with my family.

can't wait til the 24th of November to complete my sweet month.

New Name

One word blog title sounds better to me.. Voyage is my new shared thoughts name.

Check List

    I've got to admit that depression had found it way to me in the past few days that we've been dealing with in ( Yarmouk Camp- Damascus to Gaza- Palestine).

Usually I find my way out of this mood by getting busy with something so I decided to concentrate on the bright side I thought for a while and I've found that some really good stuff had happened so I made this (positive check list J )    

-          Fedi's   Graduation                                                     

-          We got our washing machine.                                   

-          My little student is doing great job with English you should hear him introducing himself( my name ith Falouq)= Farouq.                    

-          I'm getting  a raise.                                                         

-          All my family and friends are fine.                              

-          Rainy days were so helpful  and peaceful               

-          Voluntary work was ON during October.                

-         re-organize my office = better mood                                                           

It's a post for myself actually so I can remain Thankful and optimistic no matter what!

A smile for the small faces

it's Adha Eid, meaning = children, playing, laughing, visiting relatives and new clothes.. that's how it should be but lately in Syria,many kids had lost their eid.. so we decided to plan a play day for them including toys and clothes.
First day: " al Jaouna Street" -  in a memory of  Martyrs carnival and the kids got their share o\f gifts and having a good time it was amazing!

ٍSecond day: a play with some activities for the refugees -living at schools- kids

Third day: open day for the school kids (games - gifts - clothes - dancing and pop corn)

and I had so much fun with the kids it was a day to remember... Happy feast أضحى مبارك

we've worked with Jafra Foundation and Tawasol " Palestinian Youth team" .

the perfect Friday

I usually don't like Fridays they are kind of boring but yesterday.. it was FUN!

we had our breakfast at home it was like a small at home picnic Fadi got the bread and we had a delicous jam and cream + chocolate sandwiches..

and to make my holiday perfect after having a great time with my family and Fedi <3, we had a rainy night at Damascus it washed everything we all needed it to relax and we didn't mind the thunder sound as it brings a good thing afterword..  I love rainy Damascus!

at home workshop

We were just sitting at home when Fadi decided to make something with my sister Hanin, so they got  their sticks, glue, colors and strings to start working.. first he made a  parachutist then they made a kite with their own touch..

Well we didn't fly it but  it ended up at my wall which got more colorful with Fadi's Japanese name on it! 

A step forward

It's a few words post ( Fadi is Graduated)

I only got  two hours to prepare a small _at home_ Celebration with some balloons, an apple  cake, simple gifts and happy faces J

so, I finally got my Birthday wish after 9 months.

Blossomed my day..

Once I opened my eyes  this morning I smelled my blossom that I got yesterday  it was filling the air..
a great way to start a day :)

8th of October meant a happy 33 months with Fedi <3

A Girls Food weekend!

Spending time with my friends and sweets are one of my favorite things to do, and the last weekend were a golden one where I had both.

My friend Nour is getting married next Wednesday so we throw her a simple bridal shower, we had "msakhan" and "Kabseh"  Palestinian famous dishes  ".. it was YUMMY!

                                    

Lucky us our bride is a great cook especially when it comes to deserts so she made us  this Nescafe cake with a cup of tea and chit chat for hours..

                                    

 The very next day I got an invitation to try a new kind of sweets at my friends' office

 meet the delicious "Mabrosheh" that we had while it was raining for the first time and listening to " Fairouz"

Another workshop

Those last 10 days of September were full of activities and there were so much to do, we started it with "psychological Support – primary psychological  support" course  in busy 5 days, it was really helpful, important and fun… it gave us the key to deal with  shocked or stressed people in crises along with how the volunteer or social worker can take care of himself  and his partner under  the pressure which they will be 

dealing with..

I've already used what I learned and cant wait till the next course.
